Jeffrey Bost

The recipient of degrees in both Fine Art and Art Education, Bost began his career at Will Vinton Studios. He served as a member of the creative team on the Emmy-winning CBS special, A Claymation Easter and Raid’s, Only One which won a Cascade Award for Excellence In Craft. His debut as animation director on Sony PlayStation’s Old Lady garnered a Communication Arts Award of Excellence. Other successful campaigns followed including spots for Krylon, NTT, M&M’s, SW Bell, and Haben.

Yearning  for longer formats and sensing a shift in the way animation was being produced and viewed, Bost joined Flying Rhinoceros where he spent the next several years directing five to seven minute child centric animations. Clients included the U.S.Olympic Committee, AOL, U.S. Bancorp/Piper Jaffrey, Orkin, and Magraw Hill.

In 2010, Bost directed one of the most celebrated short films on the environment, created to show young audiences the impact of burning fossil fuels on the world’s oceans. Voiced by SpongeBob’s Tom Kenny and Jill Talley, “The Krill is Gone” was named Best Short by the San Francisco Ocean Film Festival and Best Children’s Programming by The Blue Ocean Film Festival. 

Bost continues to animate and lead campaigns for clients such as Apple Jacks, Reese’s, Airwick, Office Max, Tinactin, Aflac as well as longer form projects for Saturday Night Live.
